Tympanogram

In the course of upper respiratory infections too much pressure and fluid may build up in the middle ear. When left untreated, this may lead to chronic hearing loss. In some cases middle ear pressure may need to be relieved via special ear tubes placed on the ear drum. Typanogram is necessary to monitor the middle ear status. In Klinilk we perform a child friendly ‘car race tympanogram’ where we perform the test while the child is preoccupied with a game.
